1. How secure is this trading site?

Security is our top priority. We invested resources to ensure the integrity of our security protocol. Our product ensures that clients establish a secured, encrypted connection to the Trading and Accounts section of our site. The security technologies available to protect every trade includes:

a)

User ID and Password protection

b)

User Identification

c)

Security Trading PIN

d)

128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption and

e)

Firewall protection


2. What is Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)?

The Secure Sockets Layer is a protocol that provides security and privacy to conduct transactions over the Internet. The SSL protocol protects HTTP transmissions by adding a layer of encryption. This ensures that all transactions are not subjected to eavesdropping, tampering or message forgery by a third party.


3. What can I do to safe-keep the security of my account?

Below are a few recommended precautionary steps you may wish to take:

a)

Do not reveal your password/ PIN to anyone.

b)

Do not write down your password/ PIN where someone can find or figure out.

c)

We recommend all PIN’s for access to our secured trading site be changed frequently for security and confidentiality. You can change your PIN online at any time.


If you suspect any unauthorised use of your Login Password and/ or Trading PIN, you should notify us immediately.

4. What happens if my attempts to log on fail after several tries?

If you key-in the wrong password three times consecutively, your User ID will be deactivated. This is for your security purpose. You will need to contact our KenTrade Client Support Centre at Toll Free 1-800-88-2274 during office hours (Monday-Friday: 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.) or correspond via email at [email protected] to answer specified verification questions in order to reactivate your User ID.


5. What happens if I forget my Password or Trading PIN?

A) Forgot Password:

Click "Forgot Password"
Key-in your User ID to retrieve Hint to Secret Question and key-in Hint Answer correctly.
Create a "New Password" and "Confirm New Password"
Click [Submit]

B) Forgot PIN:

Sign into Online Trading Platform via www.KenTrade.com.my
Go to "My Profile" and select "Forgot PIN"
Key-in Hint Answer correctly and click [Submit]
Created "New Pin" and "Confirm New PIN"
Click [Submit]

6. How will I be able to know that the problems encountered are related to
    KenTrade.com system or my Internet Service Provider?


You can always take note of the error message prompted to you from your PC, and call up our KenTrade Client Support Centre if you are not clear of the source of the error. If you fail to login to the Internet or your connection is very slow, usually this arises from the Internet Service Provider, you can call the respective service provider for inquiry.
